Co-ops & Summer Students
Interested in spending the summer working with us or completing your co-op?
Co-op recruiting is a fundamental element of the company’s recruiting efforts. Many of our co-op students become permanent employees after graduation. Each semester, we post for roles in field coordination, project coordination and estimating. Watch for our postings at the following schools: Mohawk College, McMaster University, University of Waterloo, George Brown College, York University – Lassonde School of Engineering, and Conestoga College.
If you are attending a college or university that does not have a co-op program, the summer months provide a valuable opportunity to gain work experience. Apply for a summer work term with Kenaidan.
If you want hands-on construction experience, consider applying for a construction labourer’s role working on our formwork crews providing general labour. These positions are in the GTA and its surrounding area.

Recent Graduates
Have you just graduated and are looking to gain valuable work experience?
Recent graduates from construction programs enter our organization as project engineers. In this role, you will work in our field operations, estimating, and project management functions, including working on projects where we are self-performing formwork or process mechanical. This provides recent graduates with exposure to various aspects of our business before moving into their preferred careers.

The Next Level Leaders Program provided me the opportunity to participate with other colleagues in training and coaching sessions that were designed to further develop the skills needed to continue my professional development within the organization. The program challenged me to work outside of my comfort zone and afforded me the opportunity to gain insight into the bigger picture of how our business operates by engaging directly with the executive team.
The program provided guided training to develop interpersonal skills, encourage introspective thinking, manage difficult situations and provided tools and techniques to help make better decisions. What resonated with me about the program was the chance to work with a variety of upcoming and seasoned leaders throughout the company to learn different leadership techniques from them which has improved my Leadership skills which has benefited the teams I work with and myself as I continue my journey with Kenaidan.
It was an honour to be selected for the Field Leaders Training Program. As a Journeyman Plumber the program provided me with the opportunity to better understand the business side of what we do while learning alongside Kenaidan colleagues from other trades. Through the program I was able to build my Leadership Skills which prepared me to move to the Foreman Role.
The program developed my skills around planning work, communicating with my crew and setting a vision for the crew to help them to understand the bigger picture for the work. I am a quiet person, and the program helped to build my confidence to speak up and share ideas in different situations. One of the biggest benefits to the program was the opportunity I had to work with a great mentor who supported me throughout the program and continues to support me today.
